Excess Melanin May Benefit You

People are obessed with lighter skin tone that they even think that diet can help to reduce hyperpigmentation. I found a post at Can Foods Effect Our Skin Tone And Levels Of Melanin?

'Certain foods contain more amounts of tyrosine than others such as soy protein, Egg, Cheese, Fish and Turkey to name a few. So by reducing the intake of these foods we could in theory lower the production of melanin.'

In theory, it sounds sensible. But there is no evidence to indicate that it will work.

Don't let dark spots bring your spirit down. The good news is that if you have more melanin that usual, you are less prone to post traumatic stress disorder (PSTD). Don't believe it? Read this - study reveals high melanin individuals are more immune to ptsd.
